Spring Beauties



Springtime in Green Valley, Arizona where Bob and Andrea reside among the beautiful cacti.   Andrea went for a bike ride and took her camera with her.   She was bent on finding a few photos for my blog.    She told me she had a lot of fun and met a neighbor who had a yard filled with an assortment of beautiful colors of cacti.    Imagine these just growing wild.     She found flowers of all kinds and I will add a few more pictures tomorrow and share their beauty with you.

Beauty surrounds us, all we have to do is open up our eyes and look.     Spring, Easter and the renewal of our earth.  Of course, in some parts of our country we are still having the last of winter and it isn't going out easily.    Folks are tired of ice and snow , cold and shivering . . . but think, soon they too will be finding signs of spring and their spirits will rise.

  Speaking of Easter, last night on the television there was talk of our not using the word 'Easter' in our greetings . . . there are folks out there with little to do with the exception of creating pain and sorrow for those who want to live their lives with the traditions they believe in and were brought up with.   Like taking Christ out of Christmas, now they want to take him out of Easter . . . I think they will get the same response and we will all stand up and wish each other  a very Happy Easter and partake in the events of Holy Week leading up to a beautiful Easter Sunday with pride in our beliefs.  The 'they' can change what they want for themselves but I don't see why they have to try to change our world to suit themselves.   We are not blind sheep following new trends we do not believe in.     So join me and wish your family and friends a truly very Happy Easter!

It's Friday morning and the start of the last day of your week and the beginning of your upcoming weekend.    If you bike around , or hike around, your neighborhood take your camera with you and 'shoot' some of the new buds bursting from the ground . . . and you can send me a picture or two so I can blog about you.    " That's what friends are for....." don't forget to light a candle for all of your own reasons.   Be kind, be generous, be careful and take time to hug a friend today;  verbal hugs are good too you know.     Look at the ones I got from Andrea and Bob in my e mail yesterday . . . words and pictures with lots of love.    How lucky I am.    So, go . . . make someone smile today.   Hugs to all.
