Friends

Spring beauties to make you lighten up and smile today, perky little devils pushing their way through winter's  hard ground.

In far away Istanbul, granddaughter Erin met up with an old friend and some new ones.   A bevy of beauties. . . all smiling with their eyes....how could you not have a great time.

Pat's friend found her way to Istanbul and they met .   Oh the tales they can tell.

I had to laugh at this card . . . well, a fella has to have something to do while he waits for the big one.

It is Hump Day . . . Wednesday, all day, raining here...what else!!  Delay in clipping out in the yard, the grass is growing by leaps and bounds and I will have to push that powerless mower again soon.    No magic handy man around, was hoping to give old faithful Chon a reprieve but no takers as yet.    It is just a good thing I have a small grass area.   Yesterday we went to lunch and met an old friend, another Jean, and we went to the Super Fly which is for the very young, not for a meeting to sit and have conversation.   It is the nosiest place in town, the food is okay, not something I brag about, but okay.  They even serve a potato sandwich. something like crushed french fries mixed with chipottle sauce and a few strands of lettuce and put in in tortillas.   Brave Jock joined four ladies, bless his heart and his spirit, and ordered one.  He ate it but I am wondering if he had enough as it didn't look very big.   Marcia and I had the huge hamburger, mine without all the fancy cheeses and that was more than enough.    Jean had the chicken salad and Pat had the soup specialty which is enough to feed a family.    We tried to have conversations but it was like being in the middle of a shouting match.    Not my favorite stop as you can see, but it was fun to be out and about and see Jean again.  We agreed to do it again soon in a quiet place.  I stopped in at Bi-Mart and the aisles are filled with Easter flowers and Easter candies.   I chose a few jelly beans for the candy rabbit dish on my table but didn't dare put them out before Sunday as they would disappear.   My table is clear of jig saw puzzles and when Marcia came in she immediately said. . . 'where's the puzzle' . . . she loves to find a piece or two when she visits.    With the weather about to change to warm and sunshine days, it is better to be outside and getting some yard work done and some exercise and fresh air. So take a walk around your block today;   greet a neighbor with a smile;    enjoy the sights and sounds and pick a quiet spot if you decide to lunch out today.     Don't forget to smile with your eyes and if you are passing out hugs, verbal or otherwise, don't forget to come this way.    Hugs to all.
