LATE!!!

I should have had this on for Flag Day yesterday.    Isn't it a beauty.   Clever too.   Kelly had this picture on her face book all the way form Arkansas.
One friend send a picture of her flower.   Nice!
Here is another Sharon Guinn painting.   What a sense of humor;  what a sense of fun.

Here it is three o'clock in the afternoon.    There has been an outage in the area.    I called at six a.m. and the young man said they were working on an outage in my area and he would put a call in when they had the line up and running.    I had a date with daughter Christine for brunch so we left and it was still down.   We just returned and everything is back to normal so here I am.

I did get some watering done.   I did get the kitchen cupboards wiped over and the stove so it was good to leave the rest for another day and go off to find a place to have brunch.   We decided on a ride to a beach but the marine air is thick and not a beach walking day.   We did find two large , what I think of as, elk but not sure.  Very big and beautiful.  Christine took a picture with her cell phone and will send it to me so I can show you.
We drove over to Crescent City and was going to eat at the Harvest Cafe which is really wonderful and healthy eating, but they do not serve breakfast after eleven so we left and tried a very old restaurant on the beach which I have been wanting to try.  We found a treasure...old, not fancy, but food to die for.   Delicious....oh my...really.   We stopped by the casino just to show Christine what it looked like.....well, yeah, I played a couple of machines just to see if I could get a game but no wins today.  We didn't stay long then rode over to Sylvia's Attic, an old haunt and a fun place to visit.    I haven't been in some time so both Sylvia and I lied to each other about how good we looked.    We are both hobbling and have more wrinkles than the last time we met.    She is thirty pounds thinner but I haven't given up my appetite yet;  think about it, but, that is as far as I go.    Food is my fuel, my energy and I still have a lot of that....so why change?    Well, I could give you several reasons but you really do not want or need to know.

Christine was going home to have a shower and a nap and will return later.    Emma got a special treat today and went to the dog park and met up with a few old doggie friends.   She had a good time.   All in all it has been a good day, all day, even with the marine layer thick and even a bit promising of some light.  I hope you all had a great day and hopefully missed me a little ....sorry about being late.....I don't like to miss my early morning greeting to some very loving friends. . . considered yourself hugged.   Hugs to all.
