How to put the good intended to task.
Monday, all day . . . a great weekend around here with a bit of sunshine and a lot of wind. The wind stops the outdoor work though as it makes everything seem harder to do . . . probably not, just in the mind of those who really don't want to be outside pruning and cutting and raking . The longer we wait though, the harder the job is to do, so today is a new day to think about what needs to be done inside and out. I did wash a few windows inside. I did help get the garage sale shelves dusted and a few of the lovely glass pieces laid out for the upcoming first of week May sale. Yep, we are having a sale again this year and I can hardly wait to meet and greet the bargain hunters. Daughter Pat and I have a lot of beautiful glass ware to change out. I keep finding lovely vases and although I say I do not collect them, I never leave a beautiful one behind. If you are into cobalt blue, we are just the sale to stop in and see some real beauties. I'll take some pictures when we get all together, but it will be a week or so as we un-box and fill the shelves It is hard work but we took time out for Sunday brunch and it was very good and tasty. Meanwhile Jock is off turkey hunting in the wilds, hunkered down in an old cabin in thirty six degree weather and a few snow flakes. He really must love wild turkey. Son John is coming to visit in time to help us with our sale and we are looking forward to his visit. So April continues on with it changeable weather and May is on the horizon. The flowers are blooming the trees are showing promise so soon we will be planning our summer vacation, maybe only to the back yard, but at least time off to enjoy a sunshine day. See, lots of good things coming our way. It just takes patience and fortitude. So light up a room when you walk into it; make folks want more of YOU . . . share the smiles, the hugs and the jokes and make someone laugh out loud today. Hugs to all. |
