As the new house goes up, pictures keep me up on what is ongoing in Prescott, Arizona . The house trusses were put in place and the crane eased them on without a hitch. Bob and Andy will be moving in before we know it.
The week is ending. It has been a good week and a fun one. Our weather has stayed warm and windy and that isn't at all bad. The fires in Colorado are so bad and far from over. The East Coast picked up the big black clouds and strong winds but not tornado touched down. So there are blessings to count as we head into a new weekend. My neighbor stopped in to say she has rented her house, across the street from me, to three young people . . . an engaged couple and their friend. She tells me they are in their twenties and they promised they are not of the 'party crowd' . . time will tell. I just hope they are good tenants and they do not have to go through another remodeling job. Renting is always iffy and that is sad as a lot of folks need a place to live. They must have had eight couples looking to rent, not a buyer in the crowd. Times are changing after the last housing fiasco. So, if you are looking for a house, there has to be at least six for sale in this neighborhood. Wonder where everyone is moving off to? I guess we will find out once they settle back in.
Here is Friday morning all over again. A weekend coming up and Father's Day to celebrate. Don't forget to plan a special treat for 'the old man' and make his day bright and beautiful. Light a candle for those who have gone on and remember when you look into a mirror that they left special parts and pieces behind. Enjoy the memories. And, oh, today is Flag Day, so get busy and put out your flag for all your neighbors to enjoy. Our newspaper sends us a paper copy to hang up on the side of our houses. John put up a new post and bought a flag so I will go and put that out this morning, but I must remember to take it in come sundown. Put a swing in your step and get busy, you have some celebrating to do. Don't forget the smile; share a hug or two; and 'start all over again' ; you just cannot have enough hugs in a day. Hugs to all. |
